Coming from Florence (on the highway):
Take exit Monteriggioni. Take SS2 direction to Siena for about 5 km (3 miles). Turn right and go straight ahead for about 6 km (4 miles) to Santa Colomba. After Santa Colomba keep left and take the dirt road for La Gavina (about 1.5 km = 1 mile).
Coming from Rome or Grosseto (on the highway)
Follow the signs for Florence, and take exit Acquacalda. At the first roundabout go straight ahead following the signs for Florence and Monteriggioni. At the second roundabout take SS2 and follow the signs for Monteriggioni. After about 2 km (1.2 miles) turn left and follow the signs for Santa Colomba, about 6 km away (4 miles). After Santa Colomba keep to the left and take the dirt road for La Gavina (about 1.5 km = 1 mile).
